Friday Sept 21

  • Oh La La !!! was heard all across the range when Pat Bubble Murphy strode out wearing his new DShot Pants on Friday Morning stages. A sense of awe and some would say shock descended on the Irish Squad when Pat took LAMR , the new pants made all the difference and Pat shot a nice final day for the Standard Team.

  • Not to be outdone the Production team of Bryan The Evil Eye Mc Evilly, Martin Byrne and Rossa O `Regan really settled in to the match, each team member shooting fast clean stages. “ Its is a different type of event. You just cant afford to drop a shot on any stage”, Rossa O`Regan stated. “We enjoyed todays stages and we have all learned a lot from shooting this match. A level 4 Match is a whole new ball game. You have to balance your shooting with your times. At home you can drop a few points or a few mikes and still do well in a match. At this match a mike just simply knocked you straight out of the stage. There is no room for error ".

  • As we finished shooting this morning we began to reflect on our performances during the week. One thing that became very apparent at this level of match is that you simply can not afford to drop a mike or a NS. For example the current leader of the match in standard ran a 13 second time for a stage with one mike. 13 Seconds was a scorcher for this stage, but with the mike he finished 113 on the stage.

  • Andrew Pedlow shot well during the week, with a steady and accurate match run.

  • Paul Daly fought back hard from a very disappointing start on Monday with gun trouble. Having shot the gun the prior to the match Paul was very disappointed to lose a lot of match points on Monday. Paul put the head down and kept shooting with a clear run on all of todays stages.

  • Hugh Huge Daly, as he was called by a number of ROs, was delighted with his match and will finish with a very respectable score.

  • Paul Smith had a great match and true to form kept going right to the end also shooting a clean card today.

  • Our production team finished the match with Bryan, Martin and Rossa shooting good scores on all stages today.

  • As this is written we are on our way to the prize giving.
