Rules and regulations
1. To be considered for membership of the association, an applicant must be in possession of a valid Firearm Certificate, for a firearm suitable for the dynamic shooting discipline as supported by the association.
2. To partake in any training or competitive matches each candidate must be in possession of a current Firearms Certificate for the firearm that they propose to use in the event or competition.
3. Each member must gain at least 4 (four) competition points (IPSC/IPSA sanctioned) a year to maintain his/her competition licence.
4. A member, who has 2 (two) DQ’s (Disqualifications) in a 12 (twelve) month period will lose his/her competition licence and must repeat the course free of charge
5. A member wishing to become an RO (Range Officer) must hold a competition licence for 1 (one) year and have attained 6 (six) competition points from IPSC/IPSA sanctioned events. He/she must also be signed-off by the Director of Training.
6. A member wishing to become a Club Coach must first be an RO and have at least 6 (six) competition points from IPSC/IPSA sanctioned events. He/she must also be signed-off by the Director of Training.
7. A member wishing to become a National Instructor must first have completed the RO plus the Club Coach courses and have instructed on at least 3 (three) courses under the supervision of an Instructor Assessor.
8. The Director of Training may revoke a competition licence as he/she sees fit if the licence is proven to be invalid or the member is deemed to be unsafe.
9. The Director of Training may revoke an RO’s, Club Coach’s or National Coach’s qualification, if they are deemed not to be up to standard.
10. Members attending matches must at all times be in possession of their membership card, valid insurance and their Firearm Certificate for the firearm that they are using.
11. The Director of Training must be informed in writing and in advance, of any courses, to be run by a member, and a list of students and their details to be supplied in advance(to include, but not limited to, their name, address, Pulse Number, Firearms Certificate Number and IPSA Number)
12. No member shall assist in any manner on any IPSC/IPSA course in any region without an RD sign-ff and the written authorisation of the Director of Training and that person must be a qualified or Trainee Instructor as certified by the Director of Training.
13. On successful of the competition licence course a candidate must compete and finish an IPSA sanctioned match without incident to be awarded a competition licence.
