Wednesday Sept 19
- Shorts and match shirts were not the order of the day when the Irish Squad arrived on Stage 5 at 07.15 this morning. A biting wind greeted the lads when they set up the Irish Camp.
- Pat Murphy opened the batting for the Irish with a clean run, with the Standard team dropping just one mike on the stage.
- Andrew Pedlow followed with a flawless performance on stage five and the remaining five stages of the day - super shooting from Andrew. The standard team dropped just two mikes out of a possible 364 shots on this mornings session.
- Bryan Mac, Rossa and Martin Byrne put in a steady 4 hours shooting to end the day with a very satisfactory result.
- Both Paul Smith and Hugh Daly shot well with both gentlemen shooting stage after stage with little or no difficulty.
- The only complaint from the lads, if any, is the very tight walk through times on the stages, ie 3 mins for 15 shooters to do their walk throughs. Anyway we are Irish and we don’t complain.
- A very good days shooting with the squad on deck at 14.00 tomorrow.
