Irish Practical Shooting Association - IPSA

Due to the Olympics in China in July/August and Ramadan (Indonesia being Muslim, September to early August) the dates for the World Shoot have been put back to the end of October. Below are all relevant dates and projected costs.

We have been allocated 1 slot in the pre-match and 3 slots in the main-match, so far, and will be making an application for more slots, depending on the response from Irish IPSC shooters. Replies are required ASAP and we will then need deposits (of approx €500) for those interested in going. If we are oversubscribed we will make arrangements for qualifying shoots.


Flights, Accommodation and Entry Fee

Flights will cost in the region of €1200 (with KLM as their itinery is 9 hours shorter than China Airlines, both airlines WILL carry pistols). Flights are to be booked by individuals themselves when details are finalised and published

Hotel costs will run at about €40 per person per night sharing.

Entry Fee is $450 per person and $200 per team

Ideally our aim is to be in Bali on or about 23/10/08 (earlier if we have to use the pre-match slot) and to leave for home on 3 or 4 November 2008 which equates to 14 days/12 nights (open to change).

Would anyone who is interested in going (including those who expressed an interest in the earlier dates), please reply as soon as possible and let me know if you are interested in going and whether you will be bringing company (i.e. wife, girlfriend, family etc)

Overall projected cost will be approx €2000 for shooters (excluding ammo) and €1700 per non shooting guest. If possible we will look to do a deal with KLM or whichever airline we fly, usually group rates apply for 10 or more people travelling together. Hotel cost MAY drop slightly as Oct/Nov is low season.
